The Path to Stop Dreading the Holidays: How EMDR Intensives Can Help

Can you feel it? That low-level hum of overwhelm and anxious anticipation surrounding everything that comes with the holidays.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from being a therapist, it’s that being around family tends to bring out the most vulnerable parts of us. The hard part? Family isn’t always a safe space to be vulnerable. In fact, I’m willing to bet it isn’t a safe space for most of us.

The work I do with my clients helps them understand and heal the parts of themselves that feel most sensitive or easily triggered, so they can feel calmer, more confident, and more in control around family.

So, if that low-level hum of overwhelm has turned into a high-level buzz of dread, it might be time to find a place to process all the messy parts of being human (and being around family).

Maybe you’ve tried talk therapy before with minimal results. You’re done with the therapy thing. I’d challenge you to chat with me about EMDR therapy - a type of therapy that helps you process past experiences that are affecting your present reality. It’s effective and way faster than traditional talk therapy.

I’ve even found a way to speed up results beyond what weekly sessions can provide - EMDR intensives. This 9-hour commitment can create significant and lasting change. Who knows... that dread may even go away.

Want to find out? Send me a message through my website, and I’ll tell you exactly how an EMDR intensive can help you this holiday season.

With love,

Amanda Snyder, LPCC & EMDR trauma specialist
